Stonex XVS - The Videogrammetric Scanner with vSLAM Technology - A new way to scan!
To demonstrate the capabilities of XVS videogrammetric system, a scan of the interior and exterior of the Visigothic Basilica of Santa Lucia del Trampal, in Alcuescar, Spain, was performed. This basilica originally dates to the 7th century, although it has undergone several major changes since then. It is currently the only Visigothic building in good condition located in the southern part of the Iberian Peninsula.
For this scan we used the Stonex XVS scanner and 10 points outside the basilica were collected with a GNSS-GPS.
Stonex SLAM - Etna Lava Tunnel 3D data
In collaboration with INGV – Catania Etneo Observatory, Stonex was able to collect 3D data of a lava tunnel located on the north side of the Etna volcano. We used our SLAM Laser Scanner and the results can be seen in the video. The Grotta dei Ladroni, or Grotta della Neve is located on the north-east side of Etna and can be reached from the Mareneve road, near the Citelli Refuge, in Piano delle Donne, at an altitude of about 1600 a.s.l..
Stonex Solutions - Torretta Viscontea Monza Park - Italy
In March 2022 Stonex had the opportunity to carry out a series of surveys inside and outside the Torretta Viscontea located in the Monza Park. The goal was to obtain a detailed and geo-referenced 3D model of the building in order to produce accurate elevations and floor plans of interiors and exteriors. These surveys were carried out with the partnership of the Consorzio Parco Villa Reale as part of a redevelopment project for the Tower itself.
