Surveying a Complex Urban Site
In the centre of Riva del Garda, ZA Srl was tasked with carrying out a complex demolition project that required a detailed understanding of the building before work could begin. Due to the site’s urban location and structural complexity, accurate and complete survey data was essential for planning the operation safely and efficiently.
Creating a Complete 3D Model
The team used the Stonex X120GO SLAM scanner to quickly and accurately capture the building’s internal, external, and underground areas. The resulting point cloud was used to create a comprehensive 3D model of the entire site, providing a clear overview of its geometries, volumes, and spatial constraints.
Improving Planning and Safety
The digital model supported every stage of the demolition process, from estimating material quantities to defining the position of machinery, cranes and dust suppression systems. By using X120GO, ZA Srl was able to reduce uncertainty, optimise resources and carry out the project with greater accuracy, efficiency and safety.
